The different versions of these Beam Expanders offer a variable expansion at wavelengths of 355nm, 532nm or 1030...1080nm. Its zoom range allows a continuously variable setting of an expansion factor between 1x and 4x. The larger the size of an expanded beam, the smaller the structures that will be generated by a down-line F-Theta lens.
A focusing ring allows deliberate changes in the divergence of laser radiation, thus matching the tolerances on focal length relationships throughout the entire system. Similarly, the image plane position after the scanning unit can be changed.
When changing magnifaction of focussing settings, the lenses do not rotate and move in a linear guide, which yields improved beam pointing stability. Furthermore, the setting can be fixed by external lock screws which makes the beam expanders highly resistant against shocks and vibrations. Each beam expander is designed to achieve a diffraction limited imaging quality and has a specific AR coating for operation at 355 nm, 532 nm or 1030...1080 nm.
An expansion and focusing scale is directly engraved on the beam expander.
All beam expanders can be used perfectly with F-Theta lenses from Jenoptik as integral parts of a wide variety of beam delivery systems.
